Mike graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science from the School of Technology and from DePaul University School of Law with his Juris Doctorate. The law is in his blood, as his grandfather was a State Senator from Southern Illinois. Mike was born in Chicago and grew up a Cubs fan, a condition that has only improved with time.
Following his graduation from Purdue University, he worked as Vice President of the American Arbitration Association while attending law school at night. After graduating from law school, he decided to try his hand as an entrepreneur. After founding a company that has since gone on to become one of the nation’s leading manufacturers of custom, variable-information barcode labels and asset tags, he decided it was time to get serious about practicing law.

He moved to Springfield, Illinois and began working for the Illinois Department of Securities, followed up with a stint as an Assistant Attorney General. During this time, he was admitted to practice in Federal Court where he represented the State of Illinois, including the Secretary of State. This experience prepared him for his next step, becoming a Legal Advisor to the Secretary of State and eventually becoming a Hearing Officer for Administrative Hearings. All of these experiences are the foundation of his priceless understanding of the law that helps his clients realize success at Secretary of State Hearings. More than 20 years ago, Mike made the transition from working for the government to starting and running a private boutique law firm with a focus on representing petitioners at Secretary of State Hearings. His amazing networking skills, coupled with his passion for fun and adventure, has brought him a great degree of personal success that carries into his relationship with his clients.
