CLEANING & DISINFECTING INSTRUCTIONS

To maintain the longevity and optimal performance of your SurgiTel products, please follow these instructions for proper cleaning and disinfecting. Noncompliant cleaning and disinfecting methods may result in damage to your products and may result in a void warranty.

CLEANING

Loupes

To clean your SurgiTel loupes, we advise using either eyeglass cleaner (without alcohol) or applying mild soap and water with a microfiber cloth until particles are loosened. Wipe with a microfiber cloth or air dry.

DO NOT USE
Any cleaners containing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, ethanol, ammonia, glutaraldehyde, or iodophors that have not been approved for use by SurgiTel. The use of these products will void the warranty.

LED Headlights

To clean your SurgiTel LED headlight, wipe down with a damp cloth using room-temperature water. Carefully wipe with a damp cloth avoiding the open slots located on the light unit.

DO NOT
Immerse LED headlight in water or any liquid, use hot or cold water, avoid using running water on or near the open slots located on the light unit. Doing so will void the warranty.

DISINFECTING

Loupes

Clean loupes before disinfecting. To disinfect your loupes, we advise using Classic CaviWipes™, or OPTIM® 1 as we have extensively tested these for use with SurgiTel products.  Make sure to wring out the disinfecting cloth to remove any excess moisture.

DO NOT USE
Any disinfectants containing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, ethanol, ammonia, glutaraldehyde, iodophors, bleach, acid, phenol, or acetone that have not been approved for use by SurgiTel. Do not immerse loupes in any liquid. Do not use an autoclave. Doing so will void the warranty.

LED Headlights

To disinfect your SurgiTel LED Headlight, we advise using Classic CaviWipes™, or OPTIM® 1 as we have extensively tested these for use with SurgiTel products.  Make sure to wring out the disinfecting cloth to remove any excess moisture.

Do not use an autoclave. Doing so will void the warranty.

Loupe Tune Up and Cleaning Service

SurgiTel offers a loupe tune up and cleaning service for U.S. and Canadian customers. A SurgiTel technician will give your loupes a professional detailed cleaning, replace small parts where possible (including FLM hinges, side-shields, and retainer straps) and evaluate your loupe alignment.
